About the event

Join Shanae Campbell and her powerhouse of a band for a night of music exuding the powerful female energy of womxn in music. With music from Erykah Badu the Queen of Neo-Soul to Ms. Lauryn Hill, one of Hip Hop’s first female artists, each and every song in Q.U.E.E.N.S is a statement of the incomparable artistry of these trailblazing musicians. Alongside Shanae’s tribute to these awe-inspiring artists is a celebration of the new women on the scene. Carving their own space in the R&B and Neo-Soul world, Janelle Monae, H.E.R and Kehlani are just some of the many artists that have revolutionised the influence of women in music.  Closing the performance with music from the sensational women mentioned and more, DJ Nat is sure to keep you on your feet and grooving the night away.  Get excited as some of Perth’s most powerful female musicians provide you with a night you won’t soon forget! Come on down and help pay homage to the Queens that started it all, and honour the heirs to the Neo-Soul and R&B thrones.   Shanae Campbell – Lead Vocals Lani Melrose – Backing Vocals Ini Ojo – Backing Vocals Mary-Anne Leotta – Keys Liv Ferrante – Guitar Sam Preston – Bass Natalie Grasso – Drums __________________________ Shanae Campbell is an up and coming Perth based vocalist.
