Time & Location
About the Event
DATURA4 From the release of their debut album, “Demon Blues”, in 2015, Datura4, fronted by Stems main man Dom Mariani, have been on a supercharged, non-stop rock-n-roll mission of full-tilt boogie riffs, pounding drum grooves and freaked-out fuzz over the course of follow-up releases “Hairy Mountain” (2016), "Blessed is the Boogie" (2019) and "West Coast Highway Cosmic" (2020), released through USA label Alive Naturalsound Records. Datura4 also features Warren Hall (ex The Drones) on drums, Stu Loasby from The Majestic Kelp on bass and legendary West Australian keyboard wizard, the voodoo summoning Bob Patient. Receiving kudos from the likes of Alice Cooper and Steve Van Zandt, as well as rave reviews from publications Rolling Stone, Shindig! and Classic Rock, Datura4 have solidified their place on the local and overseas stages, having completed an extensive European tour in October 2019 and sharing stages with the likes of The Pretty Things, ZZ Top, Kevin Borich, Tumbleweed and Little Stevie’s Disciples of Soul. The FLOORS The Floors are a reckless wall of Bass fuzz fury, face-pummeling Drums, crazed Electric Guitar noise, all washing over Luke Dux’s guttural howl. But it’s not just this sonic bombardment that gives The Floors their power. For all of the volume and fuzz, The Floors are merely amplifying the original and most primal spirit of the blues... its heaviness. These three crazed West Australians have supported Kim Salmon, Buzzcocks, Jon Spencer Blues Explosion, King Khan & BBQ Show and X to name a few. Featuring Brothers Luke (Vocals/Guitar) and Ryan (Bass) and Ash Doodkorte (Drums). Luke and Ryan took home West Australian Music Industry Awards for Best Guitarist and Best Bassist respectively in both 2009, 2010, 2013 and 2014. And the band was awarded the WAM award for Best Blues Act 2014. They have released ‘Live at the Bird’ 2011, ‘Deadbeat’ 2012, Bones 7” 2013 and ‘Beat it Down’ 2017 out thru Brittany Label BEAST Records. The band have done many tours throughout Australia and after their first successful European tour in 2017 they have been invited back to play 2018’s ‘Binic Blues Festival’. MAGE MAGE are a combustive blend of melodic, hook-filled choruses and icy, skin-crawling verses – laced effortlessly with disarming, celestial vocal harmonies & jagged, punching riffs. Expect all things heavy & fuzz with influences ranging from All Them Witches, Queens of the Stone Age & METZ.
