The Strays, Broken Gnomes and Lee Schneider

The Strays are hosting a night of quality local original music at the awesome Lyric’s Underground in Maylands!! Kicking off the night is Lee Schneider, a young fingerpicking, folk and blues acoustic singer songwriter.

Next up, The Strays, an all-original band with an eclectic mix of songs, written and performed by a mixed bag of veteran musicians who have sworn off covers. Musical styles range from laid-back beach tunes through reggae to a few full-on rock anthems, and - although lyrics cover the gamut from Cuban dive bars and badly-behaved dogs to tango inspired commentary on love gone wrong - there is a central good humour to the music that reflects the WA lifestyle.

The Strays will be joined by Broken Gnomes, a collective of some of Perth’s most experienced musicians. Their polished, energetic sound infuses Brit-pop with psychedelic tendencies, and has caught the ears of many in the music scene.

Although the Strays have been around for a while and their fans know the music, they’ve got a few new ones up their sleeve for this gig. So, come on down to Maylands and join us at Lyric’s Underground!
