About the event
Around The Sound, Western Australia’s premiere online music media outlet is very pleased to present a night of country, rock and roll and sheer mayhem, with some of the best bands and artists the West has to offer. Seawitch In existence for less than a year, headliners, Seawitch, have quickly become one of Western Australia’s most in demand bands. Fronted by Fiona Horne (Def FX), and playing a busted-up brand of pulsating, groove-infused heavy rock, Seawitch are a must-see phenomenon. Get ready to sweat and be entranced by Seawitch. Potato Stars Western Australia’s answer to The Fall, these shows will likely be Potato Stars’ last, as age and madness catch up with their rotating crew of marvellously murky members. As a farewell gift to the state that’s given them so much, Potato Stars will be playing all their favourites — yours too — ‘Milo’, ‘Love Makes You Fat’ and ‘COVID-69’. The Spuds will also be paying homage to the best in the west with a blistering set of covers from the likes of The Stems, The Scientists and Victims. Never seen before and probably never to be seen again, this one is not to be missed. Paige McNaught Experience (PMX) Playing their very own brand of fuzzy, scuzzy, angular rock and roll, PMX are a band for the ages. Fronted by Paige McNaught, who channels Patti Smith and PJ Harvey in equal measures, there are few bands that can do what PMX do — rock the house down to its foundations while seriously riffing on the perils of modern living. If you haven’t seen them yet, make sure you get down early to catch their shtick. Savanah Solomon Savanah Solomon is a talent who’s just beginning to find her groove as a solo country artist. Having torn up joints across the country with her band The Strays, Savanah is now growing up on her own and writing and singing songs that are as authentic and mesmerising as the early Carole King or Joni Mitchell. Savanah’s just getting started, so make sure you’re at the venue to see a genuine superstar in the making.
