Cassis

Cassis came together in 2014 with Véronique Ramén (vocals) and Jon Edwards (guitar) and moved from acoustic to electric with the addition of Warren Hall (drums), Sebastian Davidson (upright and electric bass) and Tim Newhouse (keys and saxophone). They play a style of French pop, rarely heard in Australia especially in Perth, blended with elements of rock and jazz drawing from the band’s diverse musical influences. Their songs are performed in both English and French, with soul searching beats and psych-rock keys and guitars. Following their debut album “Soul-Sterious” and an EP “Ecstasy” in 2021, alongside a series of gig, Cassis is now recording their latest songs that will be released in 2022.
